Daraja La Mafanikio is a talent acquisition platform that connects:

  • TVET graduates and job seekers with employment opportunities
  • Employers with qualified candidates
  • Educational institutions with industry partners
  • Youth with employability and entrepreneurship training

3. User Accounts

Registration

  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • You must be at least 18 years old to create an account
  • You may not create multiple accounts for the same purpose

Account Responsibilities

  • You are solely responsible for all activities under your account
  • You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use
  • We are not liable for any loss or damage from unauthorized account access

4. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Provide false, misleading, or inaccurate information
  • Post fraudulent job listings or applications
  • Use the Service for illegal activities or purposes
  • Harass, abuse, or harm other users
  • Upload viruses, malware, or malicious code
  • Violate applicable laws or regulations

5. Job Seeker Obligations

As a job seeker using our platform, you:

  • Must provide truthful and accurate information in your profile
  • Should only apply for positions you are genuinely interested in
  • Must not misrepresent your qualifications or experience
  • Should respond promptly to employer communications
  • Must not share confidential employer information

6. Employer Obligations

As an employer using our platform, you:

  • Must post accurate and legitimate job opportunities
  • Should not discriminate based on race, gender, religion, or other protected characteristics
  • Must respond to qualified applicants in a timely manner
  • Should not require payment from job seekers for employment
  • Must comply with Kenyan employment laws and regulations
  • Are responsible for conducting your own background checks

7. Intellectual Property

Platform Content

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Daraja La Mafanikio and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws.

User Content

By posting content on our platform, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, and display such content for the purpose of operating and improving the Service.

Third-Party Content

Our Service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of third-party sites.

10. Termination

Termination by You

You may terminate your account at any time by following the account deletion process in your account settings.

Termination by Us

We may suspend or terminate your account immediately if you:

  • Violate these Terms of Service
  • Engage in fraudulent or illegal activities
  • Compromise the security or integrity of our platform
  • Fail to pay applicable fees

Effect of Termination

Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. We may delete your account and all associated data, though certain information may be retained as required by law.

13. Indemnification

Dispute Resolution Process

If you have a dispute with Daraja La Mafanikio, you agree to first contact us at legal@darajalamafanikio.org to attempt to resolve the dispute informally.

Arbitration

If we cannot resolve the dispute informally, any dispute will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with Kenyan arbitration laws.

15. Service Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue the Service at any time, with or without notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

16. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by:

No Employment Agency

Daraja La Mafanikio is not an employment agency and does not guarantee employment. We provide a platform for connecting job seekers and employers.

Background Checks

Employers are solely responsible for conducting background checks and verifying candidate information. We do not verify the accuracy of user-provided information.
